Round 1 of the HDS
Series shaping up to be one of the biggest!
Monday
November 13, 2006.
The very first round for
the 2006/2007 Hydraulic Drilling Services Modified Production Series
is set to get underway at Brisbane International Speedway on
Saturday the 18th November. Already there is a massive 41 cars
nominated for the event.
Aiden Raymont will be
a man on a mission looking to better his 2nd placing in the series
in the 2005/2006 season. There will be plenty of locals making
the trip with a handful of Toowoomba drivers recently making the
step up to the Modified Production Category including Dennis
Bullpitt, Rodney Pammenter, Shane Macdonald, Royce Ernst and Shane
Langton.
Todd Doyle will also
try and make his presence felt after a triumphant feature win at
Charlton Raceway a few weeks before, which saw his Holden VY
Commodore well and Truly on the pace. Another hot contender
will be Robert Trapp, who after running a brand new car last season,
has run in his VX Commodore which is showing some consistent pace at
each track he attends.
One thing is for sure
the racing is going to be thick and fast, and all of the 41 drivers
will have an equal chance at taking out the feature race win.
Heat racing is going to prove fierce to even make the final cut for
the A main.
