Greg Worling took out the third round of the G & W Racing Modified Production Sedan Series at Lismore Speedway on Saturday night.

Rodney Pammenter filled the runner-up placing while Darren Lester was third.

It was a race of high attrition where only eight cars finished the event and with it went the usual hard luck stories of the encounter.

Toowoomba's Peter Gray looked good early after he started from pole position. He showed a good turn of speed and looked a strong contender in the initial stages before an engine failure sent him to the infield.

Meanwhile Dennis Bullpitt also was impressive setting the quickest lap time of the night and ran strongly in fifth spot before he was sidelined with a broken axle.  Another contender Matt Swarbrooke also fell by the wayside with a flat tyre.

Meanwhile there were some impressive performances in the race.

Pammenter's second placing came after a big drive from starting position 13 and Lester's third followed a herculean effort after he started from the rear of the field.  Lester qualified out of position 3 for the feature race but had developed a flat tyre whilst lining up for the race and was allowed to change the tyre if he started from the rear.

Fourth man home in the event was Mark Ferguson who was followed by New South Wales Champion Steve Price, Mitchell Randell, Garry Maroske and Aiden Raymont the only other finishers.

The series will now head to Charlton Raceway for round four on the 7th March 2009.
